Traffic regulations for 10th NLA session

In view of tenth session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) on December 20, Kohima police have issued traffic regulations as part of the security arrangement.

In a press release, PRO, DEF Kohima informed that only vehicles with the following car passes would be allowed entry: ‘X’ (black letter with green background) for Legislators; ‘Y’ (white letter with blue background) for AHoDs/HoDs, ‘Assembly Logo’ (red background) for assembly staff, ‘LH’ (blue letter with yellow background) for police personnel, ‘O’ (black letter with white background) for IPR/media and other department and ‘On Assembly Duty’ (white letter with blue background) for staff bus/pool & dak vehicles.

No vehicle would be allowed to be parked by the roadside from 6 a.m., onwards during the assembly sessions: from BSNL telephone exchange till Classic Island; from Raj Bhavan till M.S Classic Island; from Classic Island to Assembly Secretariat via High School; from New CM official residence, Phezoucha to Assembly Secretariat. 

Meanwhile, DEF has informed that heavy vehicles would not be allowed to ply in Kohima town during assembly session, from 6 a.m., till the session was over and all loading and unloading of goods in Kohima town would have to be completed by 6 a.m., during assembly session. 

Further, heavy vehicles would not be allowed to be parked along ‘D’ block road. 

It also informed that the police would tow away defaulting vehicles and charges would be borne by vehicle owners.
