Training for fish farmers held in Tuensang

Training programme on “Culture of Indian Major Carps & Exotic Major Carps” was held at Fish Farmers’ Training Centre, Tuensang for 30 progressive fish farmers of Tuensang district from April 24 to 28. 
DFO, Tuensang, Rongsenkumzuk encouraged the farmers to undertake fish farming in the district and also explained to them about pond management, composite fish culture practice, economics on fish culture etc. Temsu, fishery inspector and Changlem, fishery demonstrator also explained to the farmers on fish diseases and integrated fish farming. There was an interactive/questionnaire session with the fish farmers to clear their doubts on farming practices. DFO also informed the farmers to approach the office for necessary technical advice in the future if required.
