Training for JDAs concludes in Dimapur

Advisor, Treasuries & Accounts & National Highway, Dr. Longrineken, urged upon the Treasury officials to serve the public with professionalism and advised them not to work only for salary. 

According to DIPR report, Dr. Longrineken said this while addressing as special guest during the valedictory function of 12th batch of junior divisional accountants (JDAs) of Treasuries & Accounts, at the Training Institute Purana Bazaar, Dimapur on February 24. Longrineken also stressed upon the officials to work as a departmental assets rather than being a liability to the department and to give best attention to the pensioners.

Congratulating the 12th batch of JDAs on completion of one year training, the advisor encouraged them to take responsibilities of the department wherever they were posted with sincerity and dedication and to work for the improvement of the department.

Advisor expressed his willingness to take care of the needs and also strengthen the Treasury office and Training Institute of Dimapur.

Principal director, Treasuries & Accounts, R. N. Yanthan while acknowledging the present status and management of Treasury office and Training Institute, emphasised on maintenance of strict attendance and called upon the Treasury officials to serve as a better bridge between the public and the government.

Senior treasury officer (STO) Dimapur, Khekaho Aye, gave a brief status report and highlighted the grievances of the District Treasury office. Deputy director, Temsuinla Aier, chaired the valedictory function. 

Earlier, the advisor along with principal director and director, Treasuries and Accounts and hosts of dignitaries visited STO office Dimapur, Treasuries and Accounts guest house, and ongoing construction of senior treasury and staff quarters.
