
ABAM youth ministry’s Self Reliance II was successfully held from February 19 to 23 in Impur with Imo Yaden from Anakiyimsen village and Meren Ozukum from Mokokchung as resource persons.
A press release from the ABAM executive secretary stated that bamboo crafts and natural pig farming were the subjects focused on during the training. Altogether 23 participants from 12 Churches attended the training. The release stated that ABAM Youth Ministry has been organizing this programme so that youth could be secure about their future in the knowledge of their skill. The objective of the training was to preserve traditional handicrafts, inculcate dignity of labour in the youth, promote the plastic free ideology and help eradicate the sense of total dependency on government agencies.
