Training on airborne infection control

DIMAPUR:

A one-day training program on Airborne Infection Control was conducted by FIND India, in collaboration with the Central TB Division, at the District TB and Chest Diseases Hospital in Khuzama. The event, which took place on May 27, was chaired by Medical Superintendent, Dr. Asunu Thong.
Key resource persons included senior regional technical specialist at FIND India, Dr. Prabhakaran, district tuberculosis officer, Dr. Chiben Kithan, assistant program officer at the state TB Cell Dr. Apichetla Amer and senior specialist Dr. Kezholenu Sakhrie.
Healthcare professionals from various local institutions, including the District TB Centre Kohima, District TB and Chest Diseases Hospital Khuzama, and Khuzama Health and Wellness Centre, attended the session. The training was aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of health care workers (HCWs) regarding best practices for controlling airborne infections.
