Training on coffee plantation held in Mon district

DIMAPUR

A three-day training programme on Coffee Plantation and Management was successfully held at Sheanghah Tangten Village, Mon district, from July 22 to 24, 2025. The initiative was organized by the Department of Land Resources, Mon, in collaboration with the Coffee Board of India.
According to a DIPR report, targeted at coffee-growing villages under Tobu, Chen and Phomching blocks, the programme aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of local coffee cultivators. A total of 210 growers participated in the hands-on training sessions, which covered essential topics such as nursery management, field planting techniques, bush care, harvesting and post-harvest practices.
Resource persons from the Coffee Board of Indiwwa: AEO, Imti Imchen and JTA, Kayia Ch Arche led the sessions, offering field demonstrations and practical insights tailored to the region’s agricultural landscape.
