Training on eVIN held in Kiphire

Kiphire district conducted a district level refreshers training on electronic Vaccine Intelligent Network (eVIN) and immunisation on January 23, in the conference hall of District Hospital Kiphire.

Training was held for cold chain handlers and nurses from various health units for strengthening and improvement of vaccine supply chain management and immunization in the district.
During the training, Dr. E. Motsuthung Patton CMO, gave welcome address and encouraged the health workers to be sincere in their duties and mobilise the parents to immunize their children under their respective health units. This would ensure achieving full immunization coverage in the district, he added.
Resource person Kingson Kamkara, UNDP senior project officer, Imli Longkumer, Rajesh UNDP project officer and Dr. K. Pewezo Khalo DPO (RCH/UIP) Kiphire re-oriented the health workers on immunization service, planning and conducting of immunisation, important components of routine immunisation micro plan, intensification of RI activities, managing an immunisation session etc. They also trained the cold chain handlers, on electronic vaccine intelligent network (eVIN) and on how to maintain vaccine stock register for immunisation, order management and how to record and maintain temperature for the safety of vaccine.
Altogether 36 persons participated at the training programme.
