A District level training on Family Planning Logistics Management Information System (FP-LMIS) for health centres was held on August 10 at the Conference Hall of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Wokha Office.
A press release by CMO Wokha Office stated that during the training.
District Programme Manager (NHM), Mhonbeni Ezung informed that the training was organised to enhance the family planning reporting system related to indenting and issue of stock in the district. She said the training was an important platform to understand FP-LMIS and wished a fruitful training to the participants.
Resource person for the training, consultant FP-LMIS for Nagaland and Manipur states, K.H.Kanta said the FP-LMIS was basically an application to maintain the supply chain management of family planning contraceptives. He informed that it was launched in 2017 in the country and could not be fully operational due to Covid pandemic.
During the first session, the resource person presented a brief operation status of FP-LMIS in Nagaland. He also took sessions on various indicators of FP-LIMS and the participants were given practical demonstration on the usage of FP-LMIS application.
Community health officers, pharmacists, nurses, vaccinators, lab technicians and block ASHA coordinators from five blocks in the district attended the one-day training.
