Training on long lasting insecticide net

Training of trainers on Long Lasting Insecticide Net (LLIN) was held at District Vector Borne Office on February 2, with Dr S. Marina Yaden as the resource person.
Dr. Yaden explained in detail the use of medicated bednets and the process of distribution of the LLIN in the district. Depending upon the prevalence of malaria the LLIN will be distributed in different villages and blocks by the ASHAs. 
The distribution will start after  the ASHAs  are trained and as part of the distribution process there will be a formation of a committee in each village consisting  of village council chairmen, HCMC chairman, ANM/ ASHAs, a pastor  and surveillance workers. They will assist in distributing the LLIN which would be intimated by their respective SMO/ MO in-charge.
The training was attended by malaria inspectors, surveillance workers, district community mobiliser, block ASHA coordinators and staff from District Vector Borne office.
