Training on NCD App for health workers held in Phek, Kiphire

Training on Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) application was organised for Community Health Officers (CHOs), Auxiliary Nursing and Midwiferies (ANMs), District Program Management Units (DPMUs) and Block Program Management Unit (DPMUs) was held, separately, in Phek and Kiphire districts.

Phek: Training on NCD was held on October 28 at Dr.Wethselo T.Mero Memorial Hall District Hospital Phek.

The training was conducted by National Program for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, CVDs and Stroke (NPCDCS) from Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Kohima led by State Program Officer NCD, Dr. Mereninla Senlem along with MO NCD, Dr. Ebenezer Pheasao and SPO Tata Trusts, Vitsiatho Nyuwi and State NCD cell team.

During the training, resource person Vitsiatho Nyuwi oriented the health workers on how to upload age above 30 years of population for tracking of all the risk factors under NCD programme.

The release stated that the main aim of the training was to orient the health workers on how to use mobile application for tracking all diseases under NCD program. It said the mobile app would strengthen the existing NCD IT system’s suite of six applications for the health workers.

Kiphire: A hands-on training on NCD app was held on October 27 at the conference hall of District Hospital Kiphire wherein Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kiphire Dr.E Motsuthung Patton welcomed the state team led by SPO (NPCDCS) Dr Mereninla Senlem for undertaking the much needed training for health staffs in the district . 

During the training, Dr Mereninla briefed the health workers about NCD program and activities in the state. Handholding training on NCD app was demonstrated and guided to all the trainees by the resource person, consultant, TATA Trust, Vitsiatho.
