
A training on paediatric care in COVID-19 was held on at district hospital, Mon on November 29.
In a press release, NHM Mon, media officer Leeyan Chemshy informed that the training was facilitated by paediatrician, DH Mon, Dr Chimang Paul on management of COVID-19 in children, symptoms, management of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) & shock guide, multisystem inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C) in children and adolescents temporally related to COVID-19, stepwise investigations in a patient with MIS-C, infection prevention and control, guide for using mask, antimicrobial use guide, use of steroids, etc.
The training was attended by medical officers, staff nurses and ANMs of PHCs and community health officers of health & wellness centres.
The programme was chaired by district programme manager, Mon, Moie Bonnie Konyak.
Phek: Phek district conducted a training for primary health care team on pediatric care in COVID-19 at Dr. Wetshelo T. Mero memorial hall, district hospital Phek for primary health care workers on November 29.
In a press release, district media officer Phek, Kutolu Nakro informed that the main objective of the training was to orient the primary health care workers on COVID-19 management of pediatric care.
During the training, resource person, pediatrician district hospital Phek, Dr. Seyiekhrietuo Rutsa talked about the prevailing myths related to COVID-19 in children and how to respond correctly to the myths.
Roles and responsibilities of each level for pediatric COVID care and its significance were shared and oriented.
The responsibilities of primary care team were also highlighted. Altogether 43 participants attended the training.
