Training on paper bags making

In line with the state government notification on complete ban on single use plastic, training on paper bags making and other eco friendly products was conducted in Pughoboto by district administration and Rural Natural Connect Lazami on August 29.

According to DIPR, in the programme, SDO (Civil) Pughoboto, Tiayanger Jamir told the NGOs especially SHGs and youth that this noble activity can be part of their income generating source. He urged them to make the government initiative a priority and that they should be able to supply the demands of the shops and business community in Pughoboto and subdivision. 

Botoshe, trainer from Rural Natural Connect highlighted the ill effects of plastics and spoke on the importance of reduce, reuse and recycle of plastics. 

He also gave a hand on exercise in the making of paper bags.  Altogether 13 SHGs, Pughoboto Church youths attended the training.
