One day orientation training on People’s Plan Campaign (PPC) 2022 – 23 for line departments and block resource persons was held on November 11 at the Conference Hall, District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Longleng.
According to a DIPR report, during the training, district resource person, Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP), Paujai Phom spoke on the topic introduction to PPC while district resource person GPDP, Choimei Nyiam spoke on “role of line departments and preparation for gram sabha”.
The programme was chaired by DPO, DRDA and district nodal officer, Longleng, Manhom Konyak; invocation was said by LDA, Sakshi block, Akhum; welcome address by project director DRDA, Longleng, Moakaba and vote of thanks by BDO, RD block Tamlu, Samuel.
DWSMC meeting: District Water and Sanitation Mission Committee (DWSMC) meeting was held on November 10 at the officer chamber of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Longleng under the chairmanship of DC Longleng, Dharam Raj.
According to a DIPR report, during the meeting, DC Raj highlighted the members on the importance of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). He also asked the Rural Development department, PHED and water resource department to submit the detail reports along with cost breakup of the convergence projects respectively under the JJM within a week.
The DC also suggested for field visit to verify the completed projects starting November 21 and directed the PHED Longleng to prepare time schedule for the field visiting in the district. He also asked the RD and PHED department to accompany the district administration during the field visits.
