A 10-day comprehensive training program in screen acting organised by Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), in collaboration with the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), commenced on Monday at the conference hall of DIPR, Kohima.
A DIPR report informed that Anita Salim, as resource person, emphasized the importance of cinema as a universal language and an art form that facilitates global communication. Salim highlighted the transformative power of cinema and encouraged participants to utilize their resources effectively. She also lauded the enthusiasm of the students and their willingness to work and share their experiences.
Director of DIPR, Dzuvinuo Theunuo expressed the hope that the participants will gain valuable knowledge and experiences throughout the training, which will contribute to their creative projects. She extended appreciation to the resource person, Anita Salim, and FTII for their continuous support.
The collaboration between DIPR and FTII was expected to foster significant growth in the field of film and television in Nagaland. The screen acting training program specifically designed for participants from Scheduled Tribes residing in Nagaland will continue till November 8, 2023.
