The department of employment skill development & entrepreneurship conducted a training on basic steel fabrication, at Town Hall, Meluri on 16th march 2026. DEO Phek, Kulo Kezo chaired the programme.
According to DIPR report, Deputy Commissioner (DC), Meluri, Mhathung Tsanglao, who attended the program as the guest speaker encouraged the youths to avail opportunity in the form of skill development provided by the government, adding that the scenario of the present government is that it is not in the position to give employment to all educated youths.
He therefore asserted that such opportunities should be taken with vigour and enthusiasm. He said that once trainees are properly trained and skill in any profession, they can help ourselves by becoming self-reliant and independent. In doing so, they are not only help ourselves but also help build the society, he added.
Earlier, a brief overview of the training on ‘Providing Access to core employability Skills (PACES)’ was highlighted by Tenempong Longchar from Zynirique Initiative Society.
A total of 25 trainees registered and attended the meeting.
