Training on ‘Summer Vegetable Crop’

State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI) organized two-day training program on “Production Technology & Pest Management of Summer Vegetable Crop” on August 8 and 9. A press release by SAMETI, stated that resource persons for the training Scientist (Vegetable science), ICAR Research Complex, Nagaland centre, Medziphema, Dr Abon Yanthan and Scientist (Plant Pathology) ICAR, Jharnapani, Dr. Matthew Baite, deliberated on production technology of important summer vegetable crops grown in Nagaland and disease management of summer vegetable crops and disease management of cucumber and king chilli.

The training participants were taken for field visit to Central Institute of Horticulture Medziphema and ICAR Nagaland centre, Medziphema. Valedictory program was chaired by DPD SAMETI, Yezaho Swu, while feedback on the training was given by all participants. Certificates were distributed to trainees by Director, SAMETI and Principal IETC, Dr. Watimongla Jamir, while DPD SAMETI, Janet Chishi, pronounced the vote of thanks and concluded the valedictory program.
