
Training to empower the youth on livelihood was organised at SBI-Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI-RSETI), Jalukie, Peren as part of SBI Gram Seva programme implemented in five adopted villages under Chümoukedima sub-division, Dimapur.
A press release by PRO, AIDA Don Bosco, Lawrence Guria, the 10-day long training for 26 participants from four adopted villages of Urra, Bade, Khriezephe and Diezephe began on January 11. The selected candidates would undergo training on pig rearing and management for small scale farmers.
During the training, director, SBI-RSETI, Novin Basumatary welcomed the two AIDA staff, convergence officer, Imnayangla Jamir and livelihood officer, Maongkar T. Changkiri and 26 trainees to the institute.
An introductory session and theory classes on piggery management was also held.
It may be noted that the youths would be trained as part of the celebration of National Youth Day 2021 and more trainings would be organised as per needs for the adopted villages. Programme is implemented by ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA), the development wing of Salesians of Don Bosco, Dimapur province.
The integrated rural development programme aims at digitalization of villages, promotion of quality education for rural students, improvement of primary health services, etc.
