One day farmers training cum demonstration on oil palm cultivation practice under NMOOP (MM-I) during 2015-16 was conducted by SDAO Tizit on June 24 at SDAO office conference hall.
During the training, resource persons SDAO Tizit, Temsutoshi and AFA R. Yanger dwelt the importance of oil palm, climate, soil required, pits digging, spacing, selection of planting materials, planting system, time of planting, used of fertilizers, irrigation system and water management.
Altogether 36 farmers participated in the training including church leaders, students, council chairman and GBs from various villages.
MON: Two-days training programme was organized by KVK Mon on June 21 and 22 at Nganching Village under National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture–Technology Demonstration Component (NICRA – TDC) for practicing farmers.
Resource persons for the programme were SMS, genetics and plant breeding Dr. Manoj Singh Sachan, and SMS (Agronomy) Puchono Kweho, deliberated on the topic of production technology of maize and paddy respectively.
Around 40 members attended the programme. Critical farming inputs were also freely distributed to the farmers.
