Transformer damaged at Ganeshnagar sub-station

DIMAPUR, MAY 27 (NPN):

Power department has informed that 33/11kV, 5MVA transformer at 66/33/11kV Ganeshnagar sub-station has been damaged on May 27 at 3 a.m.
In a press note, transmission division Dimapur executive engineer S.I Asangba Tikhir informed that the department has already arranged an alternate transformer. However, EE said that since the 11kV systems was severely damaged, restoration of infrastructures could take a few days. As a result, EE said it could resort to load-shedding in case of system constraints in the affected area. The affected areas include villages stretching from Dhansiripar area to Urra village, Amaluma, Khehoi, Jalukie Sangtam and Khekhiho village to Hebron, Shikavi, Beisumpuikam village. The department said all efforts were being put for timely restoration of the affected transformer.
Acknowledging inconvenience caused, the department has sought cooperation from all.
