Power department has informed that the 132 kV Wokha-Doyang NH-61 transmission line passing through several villages would be test charged at the rated voltage at 12 Noon on January 11 and would be kept idle charged.
The villages include– Longsa, Niroyo, Nrung Longidang, Wokha, New Wokha, Koro, Koio, Chukitong, Tsungiki and Philimi. In a notice, EE (Kohima transmission) Namheu K Zeliang, therefore, informed all to not touch the transmission line or go near it for safety purposes. The EE cautioned that the department would not be held responsible for any untoward incident whatsoever.
