Tree plantation campaign held at new DC office site

A tree plantation campaign was conducted at the New DC office Wokha site on August 31. The drive was held as a part of the nationwide initiative launched by the Prime Minister, “Ek Ped Ma Ke Nam,” which aims to contribute to environmental sustainability. A total of 300 tree saplings were planted during the drive.


The district administration with all its staffs, Forest department, Welfare department, AE, CAWD took part in the plantation drive. The campaign seeks to ensure the plantation of 80 crore trees by September 2024 and 140 crore trees by March 2025 across India.
