Public Health Engineering department (PHED) Mokokchung as part of the Gandagi Mukt Bharat campaign initiated a tree plantation drive at Mopungchuket village in partnership with The Greensight Project on August 12. A press release by PHED Mokokchung stated that, volunteers planted indigenous fruit bearing trees to mark the day. Gandagi Mukt Bharat is a week-long behavior change campaign of the government of India, Ministry of Jal Shakti, department of Drinking Water and Sanitation that was launched on August 8 by Prime Minister and will culminate on August 15.
