Training-cum-workshop for Indian Medical Association (IMA) and Indian Association of Paediatricians (IAP) for both government and private hospital and clinics was held on December 20 at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur.
The main focus of the training was to sensitise the participants about malaria elimination from, Nagaland in particular and the country in general.
According to DPO, NVBDCP, Dimapur Dr. Moa Jamir, resource person of the programme was senior regional director, ministry of health and family welfare (MoHFW), Dr. L.A Singh. He mentioned that malaria was a “notifiable disease” which had to be notified to the local health authority within 24 hours of detection.
Earlier, during the programme, Dr Antoly Swu delivered welcome address and DVBO NVBDCP Dimapur, Dr. Temsusashi spoke on management of severe malaria while DHFW joint director, Dr. Moa Jamir supervised the training programme. Public health consultant, NVBDCP, DHFW, Imsubenla also attended the training on behalf of NVBDCP, DHFW.
