Trg on cultivation of winter vegetables

One day training on cultivation of winter vegetables was organized by Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Ongpangkong north block Mokokchung on September 30 at Ungma village.
During the training programme, BTM Ongpangkong north delivered the key note address, stressing mainly on the scope of vegetable farming, health benefits of vegetables grown using organic fertilizer and financial up-liftment. Resource person, Mejong (progressive farmer from Yimchalu) explained the need for maintenance of line sowing, management of soil and nursery and use of organic fertilizer. Various seeds like broccoli, Indian spinach, onion, turnip, coriander, carrot and organic pesticides like neem oil were distributed among the participants.  Altogether 24 farmers participated in the programme.
