Trg on leadership and peace building

Peace Channel conducted training on leadership and peace building at Christian Mission Higher Secondary School 4th Mile, Dimapur on Saturday.
The programme focused on the topic “peace building” by field coordinator Vikhuli Achumi, who emphasized on “inner peace that every individual had a responsibility to act upon.”
She said it could be possible through “interacting with students and providing platform for them to speak their views”, while also understanding peace which could be achieved through activities like peace meditation.
Staff of Peace Channel Supongla Aier also spoke on “unity in diversity” and stressed on multi-culturism which could be understood as a concept “where every culture is given its recognition and respect” by not imposing dominant culture on others.
She also highlighted on Dimapur which is a heterogeneous city with population encompassing different religions and culture, settled permanently from all over India besides Naga tribes.
Aier also encouraged the students to take initiatives from small and humble beginning and motivated them to be peace builders for promoting peace and harmony in diversity.
