Sub Divisional Agricultural Officer (SDAO) office, Naginimora, department of agriculture conducted a farmers’ training on “management of blast disease of rice” at Wakching village on December 1.
In a press release, SDAO office informed that the training was conducted to create awareness about the disease before the next jhum season with special emphasis on the importance of seed treatment.
Farmers from Wakching village, Wakching Chingla, Lampong Wakching and Wakching Town attended the training.
Fungicides and knap sack sprayers were also distributed to the farmers. Altogether, 56 farmers participated in the training.
