Two persons were killed and two seriously injured when an LP Truck they were travelling met with an accident 1 km away from Akhegwo town under Meluri sub division at around 5:30 p.m today.
The deceased have been identified as Mukuzu Sangtam, son of Throngpenthe and Tetsothe Sangtam, son of Mutsuthung. Both were from Longmatra village under Kiphire district and were handymen of the truck. Driver and his assistant driver sustained serious injury and were admitted to AR dispensary at Akhegwo town. The truck was travelling from Kiphire to Dimapur when the accident occurred. The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained till the time of filing this report.
