One Manipur bound truck bearing Registration No. NL 01/G 7734 carrying kitchen utensils, gas stove, pressure cooker, sandals and detachable racks caught fire near Classic Point Kohima Sunday afternoon around 1 p.m.
The timely intervention of fire tenders and police doused off the inferno and further damaged was averted.
The cabin of the truck was partially burnt but the goods were saved, police sources said. No casualty was involved in the arson case. Police were yet to ascertain the cause of the incident.
