Tsg police nab 2 for vandalism

At least two persons have been arrested by Tuensang police in connection with February 14 incident, in which violent mob vandalized DC Tuensang office and resorted to violent act causing panic and fear among the people in Tuensang town.
According to police, a case has been registered with Tuensang police station and accused booked under appropriate section of law. Police said attempt to arrest more persons in connection with the case was underway and thorough investigation initiated.
“Tight security measures have been taken to prevent occurrence of untoward situation in Tuensang town and outside the district headquarters,” said police.
Tuensang police appealed to all responsible citizens to remain calm and avoid spreading false rumours. Police also requested citizens to provide valuable information to so “trouble mongers’ would be arrested before they could create problem.
Meanwhile, police along with IRB personnel while conducting checking and frisking in and around Tuensang town arrested two persons in different locations February 15. Two air pistols and 130 Nos of Spasmo capsules were recovered from their possessions, police said, The arrested persons have been forwarded to judicial custody.
