As part of Tikhir’ Tsonglak Festival celebration, the Tüjünu United FC (TUFC) in collaboration with Shamator Village Students’ Union (SVSU) organised Tsonglak Nyi Football Tournament from October 9 – 12 at Shamator Village.
The Tüjünu United FC (TUFC) team emerged as the winner of the tournament after defeating Young Middle Club (YMC) in the final. The closing ceremony came to an end with the musical band headed by 14 Assam Rifles Shamator, major Dhirendar on the night of October 12. Dhirendar Major, expressed his happiness on the successful tournament and encouraged in the field of sports and music to the youths of the village.
The first day of the programme was chaired by joint secretary SVSU, K. Khupanthong, welcome address by captain TUFC, A. Tsüpanthong, a brief meaning of Tsonglak Festival was delivered by GB, K. Wongtsü, short speeches by K. Mongtsü on behalf of sponsors, president SVSU, Yanrükiu S, VCC L. Thongsangkiu, president SVCU, T. Limthy.
