Toulazouma Students’ Union (TSU) has felicitated meritorious students who secured 80% and above in the Class X and XII examinations conducted by NBSE at the 13th general session held on January 22 at Mini- Theatre, Toulazouma Baptist Church (TBC), Dimapur.
Toulazouma Students’ Union in a press released informed that the occasion was held under the theme, “Embracing Diversity, Excelling through Unity” and was graced by president Western Chakhesang Students’ Union, Nuvoto Lohe, as the guest speaker.
Speaking at the programme, Lohe stressed on the theme and said Nagas were blessed with rich diversity, saying that diversity begins from home. He encouraged the students’ community to be self-reliant and reminded them that the best way to achieve was by picking up various fields, knowing their interest and working hard towards it.
The guest speaker also urged the young people to be persistent in whatever they do and to not give up half way. He also quoted the passage from the Bible, Proverbs 1:7, encouraging the students’ community to fear the Lord and put God first above all. VCC Niepete Therie also exhorted the students.
Meanwhile, the programme chaired by finance secretary Toulazouma Students’ Union, Pavini Pohena began with an invocation by pastor UBCT, Abeni Lotha. Presidential address was delivered by Paukizonne Meriam. Special numbers were presented by CBCT youth department and Witadthiu Meriam.
The programme concluded with a prayer by associate pastor LBPT, Kairisi Nring.
Meanwhile, Toulazouma Students’ Union has formed a new team to be headed by Arazo Nyekha and Khrutatso Khamo as president and general secretary respectively.
