TSU organises literary day

Tsütuonuomia Students’ Union (TSU), Kohima village organised a literary day at T. Khel Indoor Stadium, here, on Monday.

In a short speech as special guest during the opening ceremony, senior geologist, Central Geological Service, Geological Survey of India, Dzieseneituo Whuorie encouraged the student community to take up the competition as an opportunity to develop their skills.

He said such platforms had the potential to facilitate in a student’s future career.

While calling on the gathered students to have a plan in order to achieve their goals, he also said perseverance and courage were also needed in order for them to reach their dreams and goals.

Delivering the welcome address, Tsütuonuomia Students’ Union president, Vituotsolie Victor Solo disclosed that the Literary Day was an annual feature of the union.

Various literary events including debate, painting, spelling bee, solo, sketching, essay (English/Tenyidie) and quiz were conducted, where student members took part under different categories.

Later in the afternoon during the valedictory programme, Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO) president Ruokuoneituo Phewhuo delivered a speech and also presented the prizes to winners.
