TSUD express solidarity with ZSUN and ZYON

DIMAPUR

Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur (TSUD) has expressed its steadfast solidarity with the Zeliangrong Students’ Union Nagaland (ZSUN) and Zeliangrong Youth Organization Nagaland (ZYON) in their stand for demanding justice for the Pimla murder incident.
In a press release, TSUD expressed deep distress by the glaring lapses in the investigation, delayed of forensic reports and premature release of prime accused on bail despite serious allegations and public outrage, and expressed that such failures not only undermine the rule of law but also erode public trust in the justice system.
TSUD further commended ZSUN and ZYON for their peaceful yet resolute mobilization and their commitment to truth, dignity and justice, adding that their demands including release of forensic report and accountability for those who facilitated bail were legitimate and must be addressed with urgency and transparency.
TSUD further urged the stated government and law enforcement agencies to take swift and decisive attainment to uphold rule of law and also called upon faith based organizations to stand in moral solidarity and encourage public to remain vigilant and speak out against injustice especially in matters affecting the dignity and safety of women.
