Tsungiki Village Council bans hunting

Tsungiki Village Council (TVC) under Wokha district has banned the use of guns for hunting within its jurisdiction with effect from March 1, 2026 till May 31, 2026.
In a press release TVC chairman Janthungo Kikon and Head GB Npyingo Kikon informed that any person caught using any type of guns for hunting will be penalised Rs.5000 and his/her gun would also be seized and kept under TVC custody till duration of prohibition period. They further informed that all types of Airguns/Air Rifles have been indefinitely banned within TVC jurisdiction and that defaulters would be penalized Rs.5000/- and their guns seized indefinitely.
