Tsungremmong Hornbill Festival from August 1 to 3

Mokokchung is all geared up to celebrate the Tsungremmong Hornbill Festival from August 1 to 3 at Imkongmeren Sports Complex Mokokchung. Tsungremmong, which is the premier festival of the Aos, is a festival of thanksgiving and blessing. 

According to DIPR, this year the celebration of Tsungremmong Hornbill Festival is a collective celebration initiated by the state government and people of Mokokchung district. 

On August 1, deputy chief minister Y. Patton will grace the celebration as special guest at 1 pm and the evening session at 5 pm will be graced by advisor, Tourism and Art & Culture, Khehovi Yepthomi as special guest. On August 2, chief minister, Neiphiu Rio will grace the programme at 1 pm and in the evening programme showcasing traditional attires and ornaments will be held from 5 pm with advisor, Industries & Commerce, Imnatiba as special guest.  The final day on August 3, will be graced by minister PWD, Tongpang Ozukum as special guest.
