The office of the Tening Town Youth Organisation (TTYO) was inaugurated on June 20 at Tening Town. The event was graced by SDO PHED Tening, Er. Volie Rentta, as the special guest.
According to a DIPR report, the programme was attended by ADC Tening, chairperson of Tening Town Council Lungchui, and other local stakeholders.
Speaking at the event, Er. Rentta encouraged the youth to be innovative, creative, and to work towards promoting peace and unity.
He said the new youth office would serve as a centre for leadership and community development.
Tening Town Council chairperson, Lungchui, also addressed the gathering, urging the youth to use their energy and capabilities to serve the community.
He stressed the importance of unity and support among youth to face local challenges together.
Earlier, in his welcome address, TTYO joint secretary, Ekero, expressed gratitude to Tening Town Council for providing the office space. The programme was chaired by Tening TTYO general secretary, Wiridinbo Ngamta, and the invocation prayer was offered by Pastor Samwang of Zeme Baptist Church, Tening Town.
