Advisor of School Education and SCERT, Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome inaugurated the implementation of Critical Diagnostic Equipment at District Hospital, Tuensang on September 1. The dedicatory prayer was offered by Rev. Achu Chang E/S CBLT. According to DIPR, speaking on the occasion, Dr. Yhome thanked the National Thermal Power Corporation for their contribution to the people of Nagaland in the field of generation of electricity, climate change and health sector.
He also gave a brief historical background of Tuensang district, and added that the Diagnostic centre was much needed for the people of the district.
The implementation of Critical Diagnostic Equipment was funded by National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) through Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) with a project cost of Rs. 80. 94 lakh. Short speeches were also delivered by Karunakar Das, chief general manager NTPC Bongaigaon; Dr. Kika Longkumer, join director, Health & Family Welfare; Sunny Borgohian, director DRR and capacity building Doctors for You.
The function was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa. Welcome address was delivered by CMO Tuensang, Dr. Keveduyi Theyo and introductory note by I Changsang, under secretary, IDAN. Mother’s Welfare Society gave special presentation and vote of thanks by Dr. Puse Liegise, MS, DH Tuensang. The programme was attended by doctors and nurses from the District Hospital, District Administration and civil society organisations from Tuensang.
