Tuensang Divisional Management Unit holds review meet

The Annual Review Meeting for the Financial Year 2025–26 under Divisional Management Unit (DMU), Tuensang Forest Division was held on April 14–15 at CBLT Conference Hall, Tuensang Town.
The programme was chaired by Neotola, Office Assistant, DMU support staff, with invocation offered by Makam, Forester-I, Tuensang Range. Range Officer Tuensang, Menya Wongto, delivered the welcome address.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Prabhat Kumar, DFO-cum-DMU Head, Tuensang, highlighted the inception of the NFMP/JICA project and elaborated on its functioning and overall progress in the division. Presentations from Tuensang, Longkhim and Noklak ranges showcased activities and achievements, while FNGO (LCS) Team Leader, Changmongsen Chang, highlighted income-generating and livelihood initiatives undertaken for Self Help Groups (SHGs).
Short speeches were delivered by SDO (Civil) Tuensang, Kihomong, who reflected on the depletion of forest cover and its environmental impact, and SDAO Agriculture, Mongko Chollen, who stressed stronger coordination between Agriculture and Forest departments. He encouraged convergence with FNGO (LCS) to facilitate distribution of high-yielding seeds in NFMP/JICA project villages.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Betikumla, Planning and Livelihood Expert, DMU support staff, followed by benediction from the JFMC chairman of Chessore Village.
