Tuensang DPDB holds meeting

Tuensang District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on September 9, in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner (DC) Tuensang. The meeting was chaired by DC and vice chairman DPDB Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant.
According to a DIPR report, members discussed the immediate restoration of National Highway 202 and condition of Present Bailey Bridge at Dikhu river between Tuensang and Mokokchung which they said, were not motorable for heavy goods vehicles.
In this regard, the board agreed upon further advisory circular for Longmisa route towards Tuensang as one-way route and emptying of trucks and other vehicles through NH 202.
DC Tuensang also requested the Police department to deploy traffic police from Kidding Junction during the bridge restoration period.
For registration of Welfare Society Anganba and Chang Sports Association, the board discussed and agreed to forward to the government for further necessary action.
