Tuensang police launches ‘San-Nyek’ phase-2

Tuensang police launched the phase 2 of the “San-Nyek” Closed-circuit television (CCTV) project on November 3 at Tuensang Police Station by Superintendent of Police (SP) Tuensang, Kanchan Kumar Kandpal.


A press release by Tuensang police PRO stated that “San-Nyek” phase-1 was launched on December 2022 and that under the project, CCTV cameras were installed in 20 different locations, strategically covering key commercial areas as well as various crime-prone regions within Tuensang Town.


PRO said the cameras operate around the clock and vigilantly monitored by the dedicated District Executive Force (DEF) Tuensang. The primary objective of the cutting-edge CCTV system was to enhance crime detection and prevention within the town, informed PRO.


It said the initiative would undoubtedly prove invaluable to the local law enforcement agencies in their pursuit of effective case investigations, leveraging the technical support provided by these state-of-the-art cameras.


PRO informed that the project was set to expand further in phase 3, and informed that additional CCTV cameras would be strategically deployed in more vulnerable and critical locations throughout the town, reinforcing the commitment to a safer and more secure Tuensang.
