Nagaland-based Synthwave/Pop-Rock band Tune Up Channel unveiled its debut original music video, ‘No Mor Shot’, at the conference hall of Hotel Whispering Wind, Mokokchung, on September 1.
Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, unveiled the music video as the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Verma congratulated Tune Up Channel and its management for promoting original music and appreciated their innovation and creativity, which he said could inspire aspiring young artists.
He said music has immense potential to develop into a viable profession in the digital age and can make a positive contribution to society.
The Deputy Commissioner expressed hope that the launch of the band’s debut music video would mark a prosperous new chapter not only for Tune Up Channel but also inspire young musicians in the region.
Tune Up Channel was formed in 2015.
The band comprises Sentien Kichu on vocals, Temjen Lemtur on guitar, Ayu Mongro on keyboard and Avizo Solo on drums. Sentien Kichu is the latest addition to the band. Areblong serves as manager, while Imchayanger is the legal adviser.
The band has recorded several achievements, including Best Band at the Hornbill International Contest 2015; winner of the Youth Fest Clash of Bands, Nagaland, 2016; Best Original Song at the NSACS Life Now Beat Contest, Nagaland, 2017; winner of the NSACS 9th Multimedia Campaign, 2019; and second runner-up at the 2nd Multimedia Campaign, Northeast India, held in Imphal, Manipur, in 2020.
