Reacting to the killing of a woman by husband at Thilixu village on February 9, 2025, the Thilixu village council (TVC) and GBs have clarified that the accused was not a permanent or temporary resident of Thilixu village.
In a press release, TVC chairman Vitoho Y Zhimomi strongly condemned the “horrific and heinous act” committed by one Kughato Yeptho, which he said was “beyond human act”.
TVC stated that such person had no place to live in a civilized society and should be condemned by all sensible persons. Asserting that the accused deserved highest punishment, the TVC has appealed to the investigation agency to “meticulously” investigate the case.
It also urged the investigation agency to the leave no stone unturned and bring the case to logical conclusion so as enable the court of law to award highest punishment to the accused. Meanwhile, TVC has warned of taking strong action against any person, whether permanent or outsiders, committing such heinous offence within the village jurisdiction in the future.
