With an aim to help student leaders discover the true meaning of leadership in order to make them better leaders thereby make a difference, two days leadership training was held at St. Paul Retreat House, Phesama and was attended by fifty student leaders from the Jesuit schools of Nagaland.
The programme which began with a welcome speech led by director of the retreat house, Fr. Boniface D’Souza SJ was followed by an ice breaking session led by Br. Leo Florence SJ.
The sessions that followed included the following themes: who is a leader? Am I a leader? Challenges of leadership, skills required for leaders, and a leader’s response.
The other resource persons were Fr. Gideon Warisa SJ, Fr. Emmanuel Patton SJ and Dr. Fr. Anand Pereira SJ. The program ended with a variety entertainment program prepared by the student leaders themselves. The student leaders were invited to take an oath stating that they would strive to be leaders who would make a difference.
The 50 participants were from the following schools, Nazareth School, Pfutsero, Sacred Heart School, Khuzama, St. Joseph Higher Secondary School, Viswema, Loyola Higher Secondary School, Jakhama and St. Paul School, Phesama.
