Two-day NLA session to commence Aug 6

The fourth session of the thirteenth Nagaland Legislative Assembly would be held on August 6 and August 8, 2019.

List of business for the first day includes obituary references, question, election of deputy speaker, lying of reports/ paper/rules, presentation of assembly committee reports, introduction of government of bills (if any), introduction of government resolutions (if any) and discussion on Registration of Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland (RIIN) and Inner Line Permit (ILP).

After having recess on August 7, the session would begin on August 8 with question, lying of reports/ paper/rules, presentation of assembly committee reports, laying of annual administrative reports, consideration and passing of government bills (if any), adoption of government resolution (if any), unfinished business (if any) and adjournment of session sine die.

Dy Speaker election 

NLA secretariat has informed that the Assembly Speaker has fixed August 6, 2019 for holding the election of the Deputy Speaker by the Members of Nagaland Legislative Assembly. NLA secretary, K. Sekhose, stated that date of filing nomination papers would begin with immediate effect till 3 p.m. August 1, 2019 and date of withdrawal of candidature is on August 3, 2019 from 12 noon to 3 p.m.
