Two from Nagaland bag award for ‘innovation in public systems’

Two from Nagaland– Ajit Kumar Ranjan (IAS) DC Wokha and Chete Lohe, CEO Kiwi Production company, Phek received the ‘innovation in public systems’ award at a function held in Shillong on Friday.


The award ceremony, attended by Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma, was organized for the first time by the Centre for Innovations in Public Systems (CIPS) in collaboration with the Government Innovation Lab (GIL), Government of Meghalaya, with Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) as knowledge partners.


Ranjan bagged the award for ‘Entrepreneurs Task Force, one stop model for rural entrepreneurs’ and Chete Lohe for ‘Promotion & Marketing of Organic Kiwi Fruit’. Awards were also given to states including Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Assam who stood out in terms of innovative practices in the mentioned sectors.


The aim of the event was to encourage innovators from small states and inclusive innovations in public systems across the Northeast, Union Territories and Hill States, in the field of Education, Health, Information Technology and Rural Development
Besides the award ceremony, a panel discussion was also held.
