Two held for extortion in Dmu

A special operation team (SOT) of Dimapur police during routine duty at Mia Bazaar area, Kushiabill, Dimapur apprehended two persons on January 05 at around 2:30 p.m. on charges of extortion.
The two accused have been identified as one Hukato Awomi a.k.a Michael (27), son of Hekiye Awomi, Viyiho village, Aghanato P/S., Zunheboto, residing at Niu Colony, Purana Bazaa, Dimapur and Tokaho Awomi a.k.a. Kato (28), son of Hewoto Awomi, Viyiho village, Aghanato PS, Zunheboto, residing at Mia Bazaar, Kushiabill, Dimapur.
According to Dimapur police PRO, on frisking the two accused the following articles were recovered from their possession: One vehicle tax bricks transportation in the name of GPRN (Ministry of Chaplee); One bricks challan of FGN; Lorry challan (guide pass association) – 05 nos (Sl/No.1382 to 1386) and Cash amount of Rs.1090.
Accordingly, O.C East PS Dimapur registered a regular case vide Dmr East PS C/No. 0003/15 U/S 384/34 IPC R/W 7 NSR and further investigation is on, PRO said.
