Security forces arrested two insurgents in T. Bongmol area under Moreh Police Station, Tengnoupal district – a sensitive zone along the Indo-Myanmar border where surveillance has been intensified amid militant activity. Manipur Police identified them as L/Corporal Salam Yaima Meitei (19) of Bishnupur district, linked to PREPAK-PRO, and Sepoy Wakrambam Rahul Meitei alias Malemnganba (18) of Imphal West district, associated with the PLA. Both were taken into custody, with investigations underway.

In a separate incident on April 21, police arrested two individuals from Tingri Makha Leikai in Imphal East district for allegedly triggering violence at Koirengei crossing along National Highway-02, the Imphal-Dimapur road. These arrests underscore intensified counter-insurgency operations and growing concerns over militant activity and unrest across Manipur.
