At least two rented house, where around four families reside, were completely gutted damaging properties at least a few lakhs on Thursday at Churches colony Dimapur.
The incident, which took place at around 6.15 p.m., is suspected to have occurred due electric short circuit. A cooking gas cylinder also exploded in the incident.
Two fire tenders were pressed into action and it took nearly an hour to bring the fire under control.
However, there was no report of any casualty in the incident.
No further details were known till the time of filing this report.
