State government has notified an increase in the ceiling limit for the issue of two-wheeler taxi permit in Kohima town from 150 to 200 nos. According to an official bulletin, this was in continuation of the transport department’s notification dated September 15, 2022 and in the exercise of the powers conferred under Section 95 of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988.
