U-16 cricket tourney at Chümou, Dimapur

Highland Hall Higher Secondary School (Highland Hall SS) defeated Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Chümoukedima in the final of the Under-16 Inter School Tournament at Chümoukedima. The tournament was organised by Chümoukedima District Cricket Association (CDCA) under the aegis of Nagaland Cricket Association from March 25 to 26.


Highland Hall HSS defeated GHSS by six wickets in the low scoring match.
Put into bat, GHSS were bowled out for 55 runs in 13.2 overs. In reply, Highland Hall overhauled the target in 7.4 overs. Ronak Das was declared as the Man of the match for taking 5 wickets and scoring 8 runs. He was also named as the man of the tournament.


Bijay Das emerged as best batter while Moba Yongwan A was named as the best wicket keeper.
In Dimapur, the tournament was organised by Dimapur District Cricket Association at Dimapur District Sports Council.


In the final, St. Mary Higher Secondary School defeated Sd. Jain Higher Secondary School by 31 runs.
Put into bat, St Mary HSS posted a total of 116 runs at 17.5 overs, with Rohit Roy and Prince Giri scoring 25 and 19 runs respectively.


In the chase, Sd Jain HSS innings folded at 85 runs.
Gaurav Laitonjam of St Mary Higher Secondary School, who contributed 8 runs and 5 wickets was named man of the match.
